Longtime federal prosecutor Maurene Comey has just sued the Department of Justice, challenging her dismissal in July as unlawful. She claims she was given no reason for her firing, which followed an exemplary 10-year career at the Southern District of New York. Comey was responsible for several high-profile prosecutions, including those of Ghislaine Maxwell, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and former Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ).
